Both classes enjoyed another session with Professor Adam all about 'blood.' We made up a solution similar to blood- pretending the yellow water was plasma, the cheerio's were the red blood cells, the marshmallows were white blood cells and the raisins were platelets. We also listened to our hearts beating using stethoscopes. Did you know? We have 5 litres of blood in our body. We have more red blood cells than white cells. Our heart pumps blood around the body. Our veins help spread blood around our body. Exercise makes our heart beat faster.
